The Sennight colt Capaneus, having his first race, finished brilliantly from jaojy well baxik to win the -Second (Division of the Juvenile Handicap While the Night Raid—Quadrilateral colt. Rob Roy, having his second race, also came from well back to take third place ni the First Division of the Juvenile The Night Raid-Red Shank gelding Hands Up, which hits been sparingly raced, gave a promising display in finishing third in the Alaidmi Handcap, in which Clara Butt was unplaced. Among better-known New ZeaJanlbred performers the Limoad—Ro»o Queen horse Mananui most distinguished himself, winning the Carlingford Milo with a paralysing finishing run. Results included:— 6 Juvenile, First Division.—Mark Antony 7.6 (Knox) 1, Mary Ann *7.8 (Lightfoot) 2, Rob Itoy 7.8 (Hickey) J. Twelve started, including Chief < omedian and Edible. Twelve started, Including Florence Nightingale. Long head; one and a-ha-lf lengths. Time, 58Jsec. Rosehill Handicap.— El Senorita 7.3 (Knox) 1. Loud Applause 6.10 (J. Britt) 2, Miss Nottava 8.8 (Pratt) 3. Twelve started, including Cherry King and Limbohm. Half a neck; half a length. Time, 2.5}. Carlingford Mile.—Mananili S.t (Knox) 1, Pasha 8.9 (Davidson) 2, Autoiand 9.0 (McMonamin) 3. Sixteen started, including I,one Raider. Half a neck; one and three-quarter loneths. Time, 1.40.
