MILITARY CAMP

EXERCISES AT WAVERLEY AVELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT OPENING ON SATURDAY The field work at the annual camp of the First Battalion of the AVellington AVest Coast Regiment to be held at Waverley from January 25 to February J will consist of attack and consolidation exercises and will include a night bivouac and dawn attack. The camp Commanding Officer will be Lieutenant-Colonel AV. S. AlcCrorie, 1 of AVanganui. and the adjutant will be Captain J. AV. Barry, 'LZ.S.C. The camp will be inspected by ■ Major-General Sir William Sinclair Burgess, Cflicer Commanding the New Zealand Military Forces, and Major H. C. H. Robertson, D.SJJ., director of military art at the Royal Alilitary College (Duntroon), Australia. A special three-day course of instruction for officers and non-commis-sioned officers will be held prior to the • opening of the camp. •
