EXTREMELY GRAVE
MR. KIPLING’S CONDITION [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, Jan. 16. Mr. Rudyard Kipling was seen this evening by the surgeon who operated or. him on Monday, and afterwards the following bulletin was issued:— “While Mr. Kipling’s strength is being maintained, his condition has not improved during the day and must be considered extremely grave.” FAMILY AT BEDSIDE Received Jan. 17, 11.5 p.m. LONDON, Jan. .17. A bulletin at 2.40 a.m. stated that Air. Kipling’s condition is most critical. His wife and daughter have been called to the, bedside.
