FREE STATE SENATE
FIGHT AGAINST ABOLITION. Received a.Jn. 17, 9.15 p.m. DUBLIN, Jan. 17. The Senate, by 30 votes to 20, passed the Douglass Amendment. It is understood that Mr. de Valera will not accept it and will exercise the. powers of the Constitution enabling abolition by a formal motion in the Daily.
