Received Jan. 17, 11.55 p.m. HOBART, Jan. 17. ■ Following confirmation of Metcalfe’s punning hop, step and jump of 51ft. 3-Bin. as an Australian record, the | Conference of the Amateur Athletic Union decided to apply for the world’s record. Among other records confirmed by the conference was the 3000 metres running in Bmin. 42 4-ssec. by C. H. Matthews (New Zealand).
