Luring tho absence on leave of In. spcctor J. Lander, who has charge of the Wanganui police district, Inspector S. Kawle, of Palmerston North, is undertaking the former’s duties in addition. to those of the Palme ret on North police district. The death occurred at Nelson this week, of Mr. Leonard Robertson. The deceased, who suffered a fairly lengthy illness, was at one period employed by tho Wanganui Education Board as a Imilder. He had been in business in Nelson as a builder and contractor for some years pact. He leaves a widow and one son.
