MANAWATU ASSOCIATION The Manawatu Herd Testing Ai-?socia-lion reports upon testing carried out locally during the month of December as follows: — Cows. Milk. Test. lb. fat. The association of 17,243 cows averaged 7831 b. milk, 4.7 test, 36.571 b. fat, average for the same period last year was 3. The highc.-t herds in the local groups were as follows: Cows. Avgd. Wangachu 36 36.80 Fordell 6 58.30 Makirikiri-Okioa .. .. 46 42.69 Brunswick-Kai Iwi ... IS 43.61 Westmere - Rapanui .. 6 58.16 The highest ami second highest herds in the association wore thoi.-e of Fordcll and the Westmcrc-Rapamii groups respectively. The highest cows in the local groups for December were as follows: Wangaehu 621 b fat; Fordell 731 b. fat; Mak irikiri-Okoia 681 b. fat; Westnrere-Rapa-nui SOlb. fat; and Brunswick-Kai Iwi 691 b. fat. The highest cow in the association was one in the JStanway-1 eilding group which produced 941 b. fat for the month. The second highest was another cow in the same group which produced 92 lb. lat. The following is the highest herd in each class analysed according to herd size:
