HIGH AVERAGE PRICE There was a large attendance at the second annual cam of hmeyiuouu Bouthdowus, t>be property of xvressrs. Ellis Bros., Buds, held at Ivilleymuua on Baturday last, ihe popularity of this stud was indicated by the wide divercity of districts represented, buyers being present from North Auckiand, Taranaki, Wairarapa, Wellington Canterbury, and Otago. Purchases were also made for .Australia. The line of 40 ranis were put into tile ring and in excellent condition. They weie a particularly even lot showing splendid breeding and (piality. Tne sale was without reserve, and spirited competition ensued right from the commencement. The 39 rams sold averaged just under 31gns. The tup price, bogus, was paid for the prize-winning ram Ki iky moon 52 of iv 34, tn-e purchaser being Mr. A. W. Pannett, oi Ciinton, boutn Otago. This ram was sired by the notable importation, Luton Hoo Premier. Another son of this ram, Killeymoon 49 of 1934, a twin, realised bi igns. the purchaser being Messrs. C. G. and F. C. Aicken, of Helensville. This was a particularly impressive ram, while his dam was also a notable prizewinner. The principal prices secured by the auctioneers, Messrs.
