WEDDING

COOMBE—SMITH The marriage took place on December 23, of Grace, second daughter of Mrs IL A. Chiistensen, of Gonvilie, and the late Mr J. Smith, to Henry Gordon second son of Mr 11. T- Coombe, Glasgow street. The Rev. li. Nicholls performed the Ceremony, which was held at the home of the bride’s mother, Cambridge Street. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr S. Smith, wore a pretty frock of dawn pink leaf-pat-terned lace over pink satin imide on simple lines, with lang sleeves, square cut neckline, and skirt flared to fullness with godets. The cape-length veil cf tulle was arranged to the head with a bandeau of pearls. Shoes to tone v'ere worn amt she carried a lovely bouquet of white and pale pink roses and carnations, Christmas lilies and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom’s sister, Muss T.dna ■Coonilbe, was bridesmaid and wore a becoming floral crepo frock in cornflower and other tones of blue, and ■shoes to tone. . Cornflowers, love-in-the-nrist, and maidenhair fern composed her bouquet. Mr J. Coombe, of Wellington, was 'best man. . Aifter the ceremony the bride s mother and stepfather, Mr and Mrs Christensen, entertained relatives and friends at their home, Cambridge street. 'The bride’s mother wore a frock of floral silk georgette in shades of pink and brown. The room and tables were prettily decorated with sweet peas and pink cluster roses, the cake being ornamental in pink and silver. The hioneymoon was spent at. New Plymouth. The guests included: Air IL T. Coombe, Miss J. Coombe, Mr and Mrs AV. Cummings, Mr M. Coombe, Mr W. Christensen, Mrs S. Smith, Mr and All's Thinstall, Mrs Johnston, Mr and Mrs Garrick, Mr and Mrs G.
