TWO MEN FINED. [ Per Press Association. ] PALMERSTON N., Dec. 31. Before justices of the peace two men, Richard Lewis and Janies Price, were each fined £5, the former on a charge of being a bookmaker and the latter on a charge of laying totalisator odds. The detective said that both men had been operating at the Awapuni races. Lewis when arrested had received 142 bets, totalling £22 10s. Price had taken 163 bets involving over £3O.
