Dirty Street When the New Year celebrations in Victoria Avenue were concluded yesterday morning, the Avenue presented a dirty appearance with rice, confetti, and waste paper littering the street. The work of the City Council employees in removing the accumulation of dirt must have been an arduous one but when dawn broke the street had returned to its usual tidy slate. When fiiotor-cars passed up the Avenue after the midnight hour had chimed they left large clouds of dust behind them.
