WEDDING MARSHALL—COWIE A pretty wedding was solemnised in the Knox Presbyterian Church, Patea, by Rev. H. B. Burnett, on December IS, when Joan Thompson, elder daughter of Air and Airs D. Al. Cowie, was married to William Andrew, son of Airs N. Alarshall, late of Palea The bride, who was given away by her father, was frocked in soft ivory sand vrepe, with full sleeves gathered to voke, forming a co-wl neckline. A soft tulle veil falling from a headband of silk velvet flowers, caught at each side by sprays of nrange blossom, was worn, and a shower bouquet of white carnations and madonna lilies was carried. Aliss Margaret Cowie, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore pink floral georgette, long to the ankles, with niching round neck and hips, and pink • hat to tone. Her bouquet was of pink carnations, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Air Tan Cowie, brother of the bride, j acted as best man. I Aliss- AL Hamerton sang a solo in the I church.
