COOK STRAIT AIRWAYS
SERVICES INAUGURATED FULL LOADS CARRIED [ Per Pies* Aswciaton. J BLENHEIM, Dec. 30. Cook Strait Airways to-day inaugurate the Nelson-Bienheim-Weliiugiun service, this morning's ’planes arriving anfl departing punctually to the minute and with full complements of passengers. At an interesting function on Saturday, both the Rapides to be used on the service and one of the DHBo’s to be used by Union Airways on the main Trunk service, together with Union Airways Miles Falcon taxi and a miscellaneous collection of Moths, assembled at Woodbourne. Leading citizens were taken for short flights and the health of the air companies was toasted. Thp Cook Strait aeroplanes with passengers arrived before schedule linre 10-day. The first machine, which left Nelson at 7.45., arrived here four minutes early, and the second machine, which teft Bfenheim at 9.40, arrived at 10.5, five minutes early.
