MARINE COOKS’ DECISION WILL MAN IDLE VESSELS [By Telegraph—Press Association —Copy/igh’J Received Dec. 30, 7.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 30.A mass meeting of the Marine Cooks and Bakers’ Union to-day decided by 175 votes to 90 to man the idle ships to-morrow. A meeting of stewards on the Aorangi also was held, an it was unanimously decided to man that vessel in the terms of their award. Two car loads of volunteer seamen are coming from Melbourne to Sydney to-night to complete the crew of the Westralia, which will resume the passenger service between Sydney and Tasmania.
