LIFE-SAVING AFFAIRS
CABTLECLIFF SURF SECTION TEAMS FOR WELLINGTON The Castlecliff 6urf Section of the Royal Life-saving Society will be represented by two four-man teams in the competitions for the Wahler Cup to be held at Island Bay, Wellington, on February 2. The teams which will also parade in the march past, are as follow: No. 1 Team. —Captain, I). A. Langslow; beltman, C. Naylor; line, A. 8. Lowe; patient, A, Gibb. No. 2 Team. —Captain, R. C. Tasker; beltman, B. Currie; line, D. Craig; patient, C. Papps. Patea Beach Shield. The following members will train for the Patea Beach Improvement Society’s Shield, competition for which will commence shortly after the Wellington events: L. Newman (capt.), A. McKenzie, L. Robinson, D. Guy, R. Murray, R. Soppe. Any member unable to make the trip or to attend practices, is asked to communicate with the dub captain. Practices will commence on New Y'ear’s Day at Castlecliff Beach, at 2.30 p.m. All members are requested to be present.
