HAUPTMANN CASE

THE COURT’S DECISION

REVIEW APPEAL REFUSED, NEW YORK, Dec. 9. The United States Supreme Court at Washington handed down its decision refusing to review the conviction of Hauptmann for kidnapping and murdering the Lindbergh baby. The Court denied the contention that his constitutional rights had been violated by the*manner in which the trial was conducted. Hauptmann can still appeal to the New Jersey Board of Pardons for clemency or seek a new trial if adequate evidence is discovered on which to base a petition.
