UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT YOUTH’S SPINE FRACTURED [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 1. Climbing a tree in North Hagley Park early this afternoon to recover a toy aeroplane which had become entangled in its branches, David Denley, aged 14, of Hewitt’s Road, Merivale, lost his hold and slipped. He fell’2o feet to the ground, landing heavily on his fees, anj was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital with a fractured spine. His condition is reported serious.
