Bill passed by Parliament before I Christmas so that the scheme can be 1 .-et in operation early in the New | Year. Tine financial arrangements will be | similar to those of the London trans--1 port scheme. The Bill will provide for the formatic-n of a finance corporation :to rai.-e money for a 20 years’ term 1 with a Government guarantee, and will iffipose conditions as to employ- ; merit of labour and materials to be diawn as far as possible from the dis- ' t reused areas.
