INTERNATIONAL TENNIS AUSTRALIA’S DECISION DEPENDS UPON TEAM MELBOURNE, Nov. 21. | The Lawn Tennis Association has I decided to challenge next year for the Davis Cup in the American zone, pro- • vided a suitablo team is available. Approval was given to the proposal for a new zone which is to be called the Pacific zone. A special committee appointed by the International Lawn Tennis Federation, at a meeting in London on July 29, unaimously adopted Mr. Norman Brookes’ proposal to create a third Davis Cup zone in the Pacific, with two sub-zones, divided roughly by the Equator. The winner of the Pacific zone is to play the winner of the American zone for the right to meet the winner of the European zone, which will remain unaltered. The decision awaits the approval of the International Federation at its next meeting. If it is approved it will probably operate in 1937. COCHET’S REVENGE TOO GOOD FOR CUMMINGS BRISBANE, Nov. 26.
