THE CIVIC THEATRE. “ GOLDEN HARVEST.” Dramatic story of present day turbulent conditions in America's wheat country interwoven with two romances, “Golden Harvest,” Paramount’s latest Charles K. Rogers’ production, will be screneed at the Civic Theatre this afternoon and evening. Leading roles are taken by Richard Arlen, Chester Morris, Genevieve Tobin, Bosco Ates, and Julio Haydon. It is the first of ten pictures which Mr. Rogers is to produce for Paramount this year. The story tells of the struggle of the modern American farmer to combat the ruinous influence of the wheat market. It is pictured through the eyes of two brothers, both born on the farm. The eider becomes a wheat speculator, with his eye on a fortune, who drives down the price of wheat, unthinking of its effect upon the farmer. Election results will be screened as received throughout the evening. PERSONAL Many Martouians will be pleased to learn that a well kne-wn and popular member of our younger generation, Air. James Ingle, second son of Air. and Mrs. H. Allan Ingle, has, after a very creditable and successful career, ex tending over some years with one of the largest ship-building and engineering yards of Great Britain, accepted an appointment as a marine engineer r.n the R.M.S. Orford, one of the Orient Shipping Companies 22,000 ton passenger liners, sailing to and from Australia, via the Suez. The Orford is at present in Australian waters, but it will be a considerable time before Mr. Ingle will be aide to make an opportunity for a hurried trip to New Zealand and revisit his home town and many friends.
