In the Sheffield Shield cricket match ..gainst New South Wales, •Queensland in the first innings made 528 (Allen 1 i'J, Tallon 58, Bensted 102, Levy 52, Cook, not out, 48). Allen batted superbly for 288 minutes and hit 17 lours and one six. Bowling, Chilvers took three for .112 and Caldwell two for 55. New South Wales in their second inniaxrs had made 30 for the loss ot two wickets at stumps. QUEENSLAND BEATS N.S.W. Receive.l Nov. 12,11.5 p.m. BRISBANE. Nov. 12. In the Sheliield Shield cricket match against Queensland, New South Wales in their second innings made 265 (R. Little 78, R. Rcbinson 103). Bc-wling for Queensland. Wyeth took five for 51. Queensland in their second innings made 88 for the loss of three wickets. (Christy 44 not out). Queensland won on the first innings.
