INTER-CLUB MATCH RANGITIKEI AND SEAEIELD WEEK-END PLAY AT BULLS An inter club match was played between the Rangitikei and Seafield Clubs at Kangitikci at the week-end. The weather was beautifully fine, although rather hot. At the conclusion of the day’s play Mr. Dalrymple, president of the Rangitikei Club, expressed the pleasure his club had from the visit of the Scafield players. Mr. R. D. Smart, vice-president of the Seafield Club, in the absence of the president. Mr. G. 11. Trott, responded on behalf of the Seafield players. In the morning four ball games were played and in the afternoon pairs were played. WILSON CUP MATCH WANGANUI LOSE TROPHY VICTORY FOR NAPIER A team of twelve players from the Napier Golf Club was successful in their challenge for the Wilson Cup, which trophy they wrested from the Wanganui Golf Club over the weekend. Napier won seven games to Wanganui’s five. It is not often that the Wilson Cup changes hands twice in a season, especially when the matches are played on the holders’ own links. Wanganui was successful in taking the cup from Manawatu at Hokowhitui and now Napier have taken it from Wanganui on the Belmont links. The next was halved and Alavday missed an 18-inch putt for a half at the last green, Ussher taking the hole.
