A depression is located over the western portion of the Tasman. Forecast. — Winds: North-easterly to northerly, light to moderate generally, but later freshening about and south of Cook Strait. Seas i New- Zealand waters): Smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: North-east to north winds, moderate in the northern portion, but fresh to strong in the southern portion, with rising seas.
