GENERAL NEWS. This afternoon a Canadian mixed foursome will be played on the local golf links, the draw taking place at the clubhouse at 1 p.m. During the weekend a friendly game will be played here between Seafield and Rangitikei Golf Clubs. There is on view in Bulls at present a handsome silver challenge cup presented by the New Zealand agents (Messrs. Levin and Co.) of Buchanan’s Black and White whisky, to the Rangitikei Golf Chib for the intermediate championship, the winner being Air. Gordon Drew. 'Pho Parewanui School dance and euchre tourney attracted a good al. tendance on Thursday evening, many patrons coming from Marton and other outside centres. In the card room most games were won by Mr. J). Bromley and Mrs. Clarke (Marton). The ATontc Carlo was won by Airs. Shapieski (Alarton) and Air. Penman (Alarton). A competition resulted in Mr. J. 11. Russell (Parewanui) winnihg. The secretary, Air. W. Hart, and his assist ants had everything running smoothly, and the function was a very enjoyable one. On Thursday next the Bulls Plunket Society will run a dance and euchre tournament in Bulls Town Hall. Modern and old-time dancing, to the music of Ted Cook’s Alelodymakers, will be a great attraction, and good prizes will be offered for euchre players. This worthy cause recommends itself, and there should be a bumper house. GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS The finals of the Rangitikei golf championships were played yesterday afternoon in glorious weather.
