POSITIOI IN AUCKLAND I Per Press Association. I AUCKLAND, Sept. 9. The statement that there were approximately 3000 returned soldiers receiving relief in Auckland made tod”y by the president, of the Auckland Returned Soldiers’ Association (Mr. J. W. Kendall). A complaint had been received that, the U.S.A. was not. liberal enough with the funds. It had received £3406 from the Canteen Funds Board and £2lOO from the War Funds Council in twelve months. In commenting, Mr. Rendall said that, there were about. 3000 returned men receiving relief, and the £6OOO averaged £2 each. If the RS.A. could be shown how to do more with the money it would be onlv too pleased to do it.
