GAOL FOR THEFT
TWO MEN 808 VISITOR. ( Per PrjMS Association. ) DUNEDIN, Sept. 9. ♦Sentences of seven days’ imprisonment were inflicted on two men, John Francis Alm-Neil and Norman Darcy Dryden, who pleaded guilty in the Police -Court to charges of stealing money from William Lowe Andrews, farmer, of Southland, when complainant came to Dunedin Io sit an examination for an engineer’s certificate. The three men, who met casually, went on a drinking bout, and the offence was committed in a taxi. Andrews had £l7O in his possession, but had left £165 of it with the hotel licensee.
