The popularity of the Palais de Danse grows apace ami the name Palais de Danse has become synonymous with fun, music, lights, decorations and everything that goes to make happiness. a no more fitting rendezvous can be chosen than the Druids’ Hall for it has become the mecca of terpsichorian devotees and the brilliantly illuminate 1 hall is always taxed to 'its limit to accomodate the large number of patrons. On Saturday night another highly successful function was brought to }| happy termination at. the midnight hour by the I’alais de Danse. Monte Carlos have a lure all their own ami seldom are patrons able to resist i the urge to court Dame Fortune for ' her favours, which compctitit n always proves very popular. Selected for honours were: 3liss llargrea.es ami Mr. F. Grayson. Miss L. Giant ami Mr. V. Jannings, Miss Cox ami Mr. Lucas, Miss Edmnmls an 1 Mr. Benetieid, Miss Thompson and Mr. Gray. The lucky recipient s ;u■ \ o . 11). 1 applause nf those less fortunate. Music, as played by the renowned Pabcs Dance Band, was of the highest standard and refusals for envores were necessary in order for the evening’s programme to proceed, so many were the demands made. Coloured lights, and myriad hued ’streamers added to the gay spectacle and a specially-selected programme of numbers was indulged in. A delightfully served supper reflected credit upon those responsible for its dispensa- | tion. Mr. Bert Gilroy, as u-ual, fulfilled the duties of AI.C. in bis inimitable manner.
