GELIGNITE BOMB THROWN WARDER’S LUCKY ESCAPE HOBART, Sept. 2. A gelignite bomb thrown from au upstairs cell exploded two yards behind Warder Pardoe and tore a holo in tho asphalt in the exercise yard of tho gaol. Mr. Pardoe, who is a special search oftieer, was not hurt. The bomb was crudely constructed. It is believed that a deliberate attempt was made on Mr. Pardoo’s life.
