Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated August 30;— Frozen meat quotations (prices on a ‘'delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.): North Island ’Down lambs, 28 to 361 b, 7 5-8 d per lb; 36 to 421 b, 7 5-8 d; best North Island crossbred lambs, 28 to 361 b, 7 3-8 d; 36 to 421 b, 71 d; North Island second quality lambs, average 30 to 311 b, tijd; best North Island wether sheep, under 481 b, sd; 48 to 561 b, 4 7-8 d; 56 to 641 b, sd; 64 to 721 b, 4£d; North Island ewes, under 481, 3d; 481 b to 561 b, 27-8 d 561 b to 641 b, 25-8 d; 641 b to 721 b, 25-8 d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160 to 2201 b, 2 7-Bd. Compared -with last week’s quotations, lamb is unchanged, wethers, under 481 b, l-8d per lb higher, ewes, under 561 b and 64 io 721 b, l-8d per lb higher, beef l-8d per lb higher. Others were unchanged. The market is steady all round.
