EADTIHI SALE REPORT. ; Mo-srs. I'rocmau R. Jackson and Co. Ltd., report on their usual fortnightly [stock sale held at Raetihi on 29th. inst. Owing Io a postponement, of our sale, due to rough weather, which was to be held on 22:id. inst. we held this sale on the same date as the N.Z. Loan Coy., both firms selling in our yards. There was a good entry of hoggets and a large attendance of buyers, principally from Kakatahi and Taihape, the bulk of the buying being done by farmers from the former district. Good hoggets of both sexes were in keen demand and sold readily at prices ruling at down-country centres. Dairy stock showed an improvement in rates, the herd offered on account of Mr. George Deadman of Ohakune selling readily at an average of jus-, on £3 10s per head top cows making from £-1 to £5 whilst cows in milk made up £6 Jos at an average of over £5 ss. We quote. —Fair ewe hoggets 25s 26s 9d to 27s smaller sorts 22s 2d to 23s Bd, tail ends 21s Id to 225, fair wether hoggets 19s 7d to 20s Id, black face 19s to 19s 6d, medium wether hoggets 17s lid to 18s 6d, small 16s 4d, fat 2-tooths 235. Cattle. Rising 3-year coloured steers £1 18s, ditto 20-inos. £3, rough yearling cattle 355, light fat cows £3 .10s. best dairy cows £4 to £5, fair sorts £3 to £3 15s, backward £2 10s to £2 17s 6d; cows in milk, £-1 ss, £4 10s, £6 7s 6d to £6 10s. Horse.” elicited keen competition and sold as follows:—Useful farm sori, £2B 10s, aged farm, horses (light) £l6, hacks £3 15s to £6 up to £B.
