FLIGHTS IN GERMANY FIRST UNDER MAN-POWER. BERLIN, Aug. 30. In an aUtmpt to win a prize of £4OO for an unbroken man-power flight of 550 yards, Herr Duennbel yesterday covered 210 yards at Frankfort-on-the-Main, and tu-day 250 yards at a height of three feet, using a glider fitted with a propeller driven by the pilot pedalling. During a third flight tho machine was damaged. All the flights were made under the official control of the Air Ministry. They are believed to be the first ever made under man-power.
