PLEASING CONCERT
THE COSMOPOLITAN CLUB A VARIED PROGRAMME Seating accommodation was oxertaxed at the Wanganui Cosmopolitan Club last night whin a varied ami attractive concert programme was j>resented. Concerts of this type are a delight to members, their xvives ami friends and they assist to keep the rpirit cf the club alive. An energetic committee had charge of arrangements and the programme xxas p.esvnted without a hitcn It embraced items o< x cry pleasing variety—dancing, instrumental and vocal numbers, all of them from well known artists. Encores were frequent and the audiencj was a definitely enthusiastic one. The detailed programme was as follows:—Song and dance, Aliss Thelma Dandx; dance duo, pupils of G. Allen School yf Dancing; Scotch songs, Air. Peter Buchanan; cornet solo, Ai|- t J. Farrell; song, Miss Coombe; humorous item, Air, J. Scott; piano solo, Aliss Chipperfield; song, Mr. \V. Liddle, dances, Mr. J. Alp; comic items, Air. Bob Howcil; ballet, pupils of George Allen School of Dancing; entertainei, Air. Withers; song and dance, Aliss Thclnix Dandy; male quartette, Messrs Williamson, Whelan, Healey and Brown; song Miss Joan Broad; enter tainer, Air. Mclver; song, Mr. J. Broad; song Miss Alerle Spurdie.
