Health Report,- The Health luspcc tor reported making inspections as follows: Habitations (9), food-seilers-premises (8), hotels (2), and various (3). A ease of diphtheria had been reported, the patient being removed to hospital, contacts quarantined, and premises disinfected. Finance.—Collections for the month were shown as follow: Bents, £23 12s fid; motor-drivers’ licences, £3; rates, £4B 12s lOd; cemetery, £6 10s; library, £6 18s fid; domain, £1 6s 6d. Total, £9O 0s 4d. Accounts were passed for payment under the following headings: District fund, £159 16s 7d; cemetery, 7s 6d; library, £3 ss; domain, £4 14s 6d. The following were appointed a works committee for the ensuing month: Alessrs. Holland, Lundy and Mansell. Interest is being taken this year in elections for president and fixe cc-m--milteemcn. On Thursday evening the Parewanui School Committee will hold a dance in Bulls Town Hail. Gedson ’s Aces hax e been engaged, and something new in novelties, with good prizes, are prom ised. Euchre will attract non-dancers, and a free bus will run from Marton. These functions have proved the most enjoyable of their kind in the past, and the committee is sparing no pains tv make next week’s dance better than ever.
