DENTAL CLINIC COMMITTEE A well-attended meeting of the Turakina Dental Clinrc Committee was held at the school, the chairman, Mr S. H. Conder, presiding. It was decided to hold a concert in the near future to augment the funds, and Messrs Conder and Goldsbury were asked to make the necessary arrangements. Mr F. Johnson, the committee’s representative on the Central Clinic Committee, reported that th e Mobile Clinic, whi<h is at. present stationed at the Jura kina School, is now commencing its third round of schools, and during tho past, eleven months Nurse Cousins, jl rharge has treated 385 patients, making 35U extracts and 2500 fillings. Owing to his leaving the district shortly, Mr Conder, with regret, resigned from his position as chairman of the committee, am*] Rev. C. W. Watt was appointed to his place. Members spoke of the enthusiastic work of both Mr ahd Mrs Conder in the interests of the clinic, and the opinion wag freely expressed that they were largely to be thanked for Turnkina being i n tho itinerary of the clinic. ARBOR DAY CELEBRATIONS Arbor Day is to be celebrated at the school on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 14, when suitable in-door and out-of-door functions will he held, the latter including the planting of » Jubilee tree.
