Lvidem-e of the regulari’y with which the England Australia air mail service is now operating is furnished by the records of the Post ana Telegraph Department. Notwithstanding the surface journey aci oss the Tasman Sea ami the connection with mailplanes in Australia, on only two occasions during the past two i months has correspondence not, been in London 17 days after leaving New Zealand. So far as inward mail is eon cerned, four of the last eight dispatches from London have been in New Zealand in 16 days, two have taken days, and two 19 days.
