DEATH ON SHIP

j BODY BURIED AT SEA. ( Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 5. Mr. JI. I). McCully, a passenger by the Maui Pomare, was found dead in his cabin on the ship at 7 a.m. on Wednesday last. Mr. McCully was a farmer of Duntroon, near Oamaru, and had made the voyage for health reason. He had been under medical advice before leaving by a previous trip on the Maui Pomare and had stopped over at Apia until the present return trip. JI is age was 49 years. Later in the day a burial service took place at sea, the position being south west of the Kermadecs. The service was read by Captain Boulton, master of the Maui Pomare, and the ceremony, which took place on the after deck, was attended by all of the passengers and crew’.
