AIR FORCE CRASH

PLANE FALLS ON LIVE RAILS BOTH OCCUPANTS KILLED. LONDON, Aug. 4. Crashing on the live rails of the London electric railway, near Burnt Oak station, after diving from a formation flight, a Royal Air Force machine burst into flames. The pilot and his companion w r ere killed. A spectator says that the ’plane first hit a small bridge and contact with the live rails caused a shower of sparks and the wreckage blazed furi ously, while the signal box nearby caught fire. The lines were blocked. ANOTHER ACCIDENT TWO MORE LIVES LOST Received Aiug. 5, 9.50 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 5. A second air crash to-day occurred at Reading, when a pilot, John Lawn, was demonstrating aerobatics to a pupil, E. Boysen. The ’plane crashed and caught fire, both being killed instantly. ______
