VICTORIAN APPOINTMENT. Received Aug. 5. 11.55 p.m. MELBOURNE, Aug. 5. Mr. Clapp, Railways Commissioner, has accepted reappointment at a salary reduced from £5OOO, less emergency reductions. to £3200 less other reductions, making the effective rate £2900. His reappointment is for a term of five years.
