BIG DEVELOPMENT WEEK PRELIMINARY PLANS I P«r PreM Auoclation 1 PALMERSTON N., Aug. 3. Preliminary plans have been drawn for the proposed airport buildings at Milson, where extensive ground improvements are now in progress. The plans have been approved by the civil aviation authorities, covering work of a most elaborate nature yet conceived in New Zealand, which will be commenced immediately as the facilities mu.-t be ready when Union Airways begin the trunk air service towards the end of the present year with four De Havilland air liners.
The hangar will be capable of housing five of these craft as well as a number of smaller machines. The aerodrome is to be equipped with a
large block of buildings, including the administrative section, control lower, poseal facilities, lounge, cafe, and workshops, and all the other amen’t es necessary to the operation of a firstclass airport.
