Frock Bargains. Ever so many women have found wonderful bargains during the sale at •‘Rosie Lee’s,” Frock Salon, Avenue !■ or the last two days further reductions are offered in a few evening frocks at 21s and 29s 6(1. A Wedding in London. On June 20, at Holy Trinity Church, Brompt on Road, the wedding took place of Malcolm John Glenny, elder son of Mr and Airs. C. F. Glenny, of 92 Vicarage Court, Church Street, Kensington, and Helen, youngest daughter of Air. H. P. Chinchen, of the National Bank of New Zealand, and Mrs. Chinchen. of 19 Nevern Square, London, and Auckland, states a London correspondent. The choral service was performed by the Rev. M. W. Selwyn, and the church was tastefully decorated with hydrangeas of varying colours. Surprise Party. As a farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Stevens, of Wanganui East, who are leaving shortly for Auckland, to which city Mr. Stevens has been transferred, a surprise party was taken to their home recently by a number of friends. A pleasant few hours were spent in dancing, card games and competitions. The guests of honour were presented with a Doulton hot-water jug and case of brushes. Mi. Walker and Mr. Benefield expressed regret that Mr. and Mrs Stevens were leaving Wanganui and wished them every success for the future. Items were given by Mr. and Mrs. J. Shanks, Miss Ashmore and Mr. Williamson. Among those at the party were Mr. and Mrs. Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Ross, Air. and Airs. R. L. Thompson, Air. and Airs. Benefield, Mr. atd Mrs. Annabell, Air. and Airs. Hartnell, Mr. and Airs. Snelling, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Bailey, Air. and Airs. Shanks, Misses Al ill, Tabart, Ashmore, Benefield (2),. Messrs. Jackson, Williamson, Alacneill.
