HUNT CLUB BALL

FUNCTION AT WAVERLEY EGMONT-WANGANUI CLUB. BRILLIANT FCE.XK IN TOWN HALL (Special Reporter). A brilliant scene was presented at the Wuverley Tuvvn Hall last night on the occasion of the annual ball of the Egniont-Wanganui Hunt Club. Visitors were present from all parts of the North Island, and the gay throng of dancers, in most pleasing surroundings, enjoyed the evening lu the full. Festooned with ualluous anu decor ated by pleasingly arranged greenery adorned with, horseshoes, the colour scheme of red, white and green conforming to the colours of the club, the interior of the dance room presented a pleasing sight. The beautiful frocks of the dancers added to the splendour of the scene 'ihe supper ruuui was hung with coloured balloons and greenery, aird the tables looked strikingly attractive in a decorative finish made possible with bowls of red camellias, japonica and red berries. The supper was provided by the lady members of the club, its delicious home-made freshness appealing tu everyum'. Music was supplied by v insen’s Orchestra, and the many demands lor more testified to the popularity of this efficient dance band.
