“HEART OF A LION”

PRINCE POMBAL S RECORD SYDNEY, July 18. 8. Cush, the lessee trainer of the former New Zealander Prince Pombal, who won under 10.7 in race record time yesterday, decided that the horse would compete in future in Melbourne, where lhe prize-money is more attractive. Prince Pombal has not had a spell for two years. The Telegraph, commenting, says: “Prince Pombal’s record time was a remarkable performance, for he overcame more than weight difficulties. He was hurdled off at the start, had to cover extra ground, and raced against a strong head win. but he possesses the heart of a lion.” -T-—' ~ ■ -
