Pressure is high to the east, also over the north Tasman. Forecast.- -Winds: Moderate to strong westerly, bucking lemp.irin ily in places to south-westerly. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough on the west coast and about Cook and Fovoaux Straits, moderate elsewhere. Eastern Tasiimn Sea: Westerly winds, moderate in the northern half, with moderate seas. Strong in the southern half with rough seas. Weather: Scattered intermittent rains still likely in districts with a westerly aspect from Taranaki southwards, elsewhere mainly fair to tine. A continuance of mild temperatures generally. The New Zealand Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, report lor 21 hours ending <> p.m. yesterday: Bright sunshine, 3 hours. Rainfall. .1.9 inches. Shade temperature: Maximum, 60 deg.
