BEQUESTS TO CHARITY

A CHRISTCHURCH ESTATE ( Per Preaj Association ) AUCKLAND, July 15. Specific bequests totalling £l6OO and provision for a substantial residue of the estate of over £60,000 to be distributed among charitable or educational institutions, are made in the will of the late Miss Elizabeth Smith, a Christchurch resident. After providing for pecuniary legacies amounting to £12,000 the'iollowing bequests are made: —Returned Soldiers’ Association (Christchurch) £500; Sanatorium Service Society, £300; Nurse Maude District Nursing Association (Christchurch) £300; St. Saviours Guild Society or Trust Board, £400; Salvation Armv (Christchurch) £lOO. The residue of the estate is given to the Guardian Trust and Executors Company of New Zealand, Lid., as trustee upon perpetual trust so that the income shall be distributed tu such charitable or educational institutes or objects in the Dominion as company, in its absolute discretion, may determine.
