W.D.F.U.

MONTHLY MEETING The usual monthly meeting of the i Wanganui branch of the WJD.F.U. was held last Wednesday, Mrs. McPhail presiding over a splendid attendance. Among the correspondence was a donation from the Wanganui Horticultural Society for the free use of the W.D.F.U. rooms at the society’s last floral display and members expressed appreciation of the gesture. The chief discussions of the afternoon centred round the remits for next week’s conference in Wellington and on the subject of the inter-branch display of handwork, knitting and antiques to be held in the branch rooms at the end of AUgust. Much interest is being taken by all members in the election of new Dominion officers to take place in Wellington next week.
