After completing two years’ work in the new building, the Wanganui Public Library has a membership of 1936. During the past two years 502 new members, consisting of 307 adults and 195 juniors, have been added. A corresponding increase is also shown in the number of books issued. The average number of books added to the library per mouth is now 13.000, while during the period of two years which concluded last month 33,24 1 new books were placed on the shelves.
