FROM MANAWATU new PROFESSIONAL PALMERSTON N., July 8. A. E. Ekstedt, the well-known Manawatu golfer, has turned professional. Acknowledged as one of the best wooden-club players in New Zealand and a master of al! his irons, it will not be for lack of ability if he does not do well in his new career. A. D. 8. Duncan, T. H. Horton, and J. P. Hornabrook were visitors at Hokowhitu yesterday, taking part in a four-ball matvh with Ekstcdt ns fourth. In the first, game Horton and Ekstedt were partnered and won 3 and 1. The afternoon match finished square, DunCan and Hornabrook showing an improvement. BELGIAN OPEN TITLE TWO PLAYERS TIE BRUSSELS, July 7. J.
