WRESTLING

TWO STAR CONTESTS KRUSKAMP AND ELLIOT KOOLMA.N v. LACK FOR N.Z. MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE Wanganui wrestling fans will be provided with a double-bill to-morrow night that, should prove the most thrill ing yet staged here by matmen. The local association has gone to a Jot of trouble in arranging these two star attractions and the Opera House will be crowded to its capacity when the men step into the ring. The first, pro fessional bout will be between Anton Koolman, who holds the middle-weight professional title of New Zealand, and Syd. Lack, the holder of the Australian title. Both these wrestlers are very fast and clever, and should put up a wonderful showing. Koolman is recognised as one the cleverest mat men wc have had in this country. Syd. Lack wrestled as an amateur in this city about four years ago and has been wrestling in Australia since. In the other big contest a local favourite will be seen in action against probably the most colourful of the season’s imported wrestlers when King El Hot will be matched against Hardy Kruskamp. Elliot has been busy in New Zealand rings this season and has shown that he has developed his wrestling to a high standard, while his fast and straightforward mat work has won him instant popularity wherever he has appeared. On Saturday last Elliot put up a great showing against McCready and it was not, until the end of the sixth round that the local man found his peer. His being j»itted against Kruskamp should result in an ideal match. The men are of similar size and both favour the open type of wrestling. Kruskamp, who learnt his wrestling at college, was a great drawing card in America and it is said he could out-charge Sonnenberg, and with his dropkicks, outjuhip Savoldi. There should bo few dull moments when be and Elliot, step into action. For this great double show attraction the association have decided to charge only the usual prices.
