Shareholders and debenture holders in the New Zealand Refrigerating Company received to-day a circular from the directors of the company announcing their intention to maintain the debenture issue at £150,000, because al though the resources of the company are stated to be ample for trading requirements at the low prices for the products in which the company deals, the direetorafsconsider it prudent to main tain the debenture issue because market conditions may alter. Of the present issue of £150,000, £60,000 worth was redeemed on August 1. 1934, and £90,000 will fall due on August 1, 1935, on which date new debentures will be issued. The rate of interest will be 4| per cent., subject to tax, with a currency of 10 years subject to the right of the company io redeem part or whole of the iswue on or after August 1, 1940, on giving t: rec months’ notice and on payment o» :■ premium of 2 per cent.
