HUNTERVILLE

WRESTLING. TOURNAMENT AT HUNTERVILLE. The Rangitikei Wrestling Association is staging an amat.eu r tournament at Hunt.erville tomorrow' night, when ten bouts will be contested between good amateur exponents of the art of giappling. The last, tournament held here was a. great success, and the association con aiders that this one will be dcfinitelx bigger and better. The star performance will be a. re turn bout between Russell (King Conn try) and Waldron (Rata). Both are really good bone-benders, and this bout is really in the nature of a challenge duel. The struggle between Wade (King Country), who is a pupil of Dave Scarrow’s, and Marshall, the best list, wrestler of Wanganui, promises to be packed with thrills. A good middle weight contest is anticipated bctw'een Hussey (King Country) and Chevannes, of lhe River Matson, the well-known Wanganui trainer, and O’Neill, from the teapot district, should by all accounts turn on a decidedly spectacular exhibition Johnny Rioall (Taihape) who is a very clever matman, is to meet the versatile and e\ergreen Alick Darby in a

bout, which should bring the fans out 1 of their seacs. A brace of strong am willing wrest h rs will be seen in action when Doug. Johansen (Taihape) and Walsh (Rata) get together on the canvas. A couple of featherweights. Fair (Utiku) ami Smith (Rata) should pro duce a fair an.ount of speed and action when they meet. A great, struggle for supremacy is expected betwen Adams, of Rata, and O’Neill, as both are very fit and ravin' to go. The midget division will be represented by Mike O’Brien and Chick O’Brien, both of whom are as keen as a product of the firm of Coleman. Bob Whittaker will be the third man in the ring for all bouts.
